“ AMAZING EVERY TIME!! the cheeseburger and fries oh my god it is the best I have ever had! Service is exceptional, prices are fair, atmosphere is beautiful, everything I have ever had here was to die for! I highly recommend , at thanksgiving they had a butternut squash soup that I still can't stop thinking about! They also have incredible fried pickles, and the seafood is delicious, fresh and perfectly prepared! There is not only really comfy booths inside but the outside seating is gorgeous with a very social vibe ”

“ We got there early and sat at the bar. Michelle took great care of us . We ordered their garlic cheese oysters Rockefeller and split the calabash shrimp basket. The shrimp was cooked to perfection, crispy and not greasy! We went outside to check out the Christmas decorations in their other bar area. They were stunning! Love this place! ”
“ We had an incredible meal at Oyster Rock in Calabash. We were down for the night to get fresh shrimp in the morning. We have learned our lesson on eating out at greasy fish camps and opted for a more elevated and healthy experience. Don't worry we still got hush puppies! The star of the show was the sea bass with miso and brown sugar glaze. We also got the fresh scallops (not the combo. Our server told us those were frozen). It came with a risotto cake which was good. We enjoyed the free chips and old bay sauce. I loved the acorn squash with brown sugar. Something I've never tried before. Yum! The hush puppies were good and I also ordered the coconut shrimp. So good! It was an expensive meal but everything was fresh and delicious! I absolutely would recommend it and return! ”

“ Let me start by saying the service was excellent. It was pouring rain, so three gentlemen with umbrellas escorted our group from the outside bar to the restaurant. Our waiter, Jeffrey, was funny, friendly, and so attentive. Our appetizers were tasty, especially the escargot and she crab soup. Several in our group were very pleased with the fish specials. I had the seafood soup, which would have benefited from a little salt. No room for dessert, but there were some tempting offerings on the menu! ”
“ This place is the place to be apparently in the area. Went with 4 adults. Ambiance was very good. The outside tables are really nice. They had live music went we went so it was really cool. Service was outstanding. Our waiter was attentive , funny and very helpful with our issues (gluten allergy, tree nut allergy and a case of Alpha gal). The food (main reason most of the time for picking a restaurant) was just ok. Our friends from Tennessee thought their shrimp and crab cakes were good. My wife and grouper with mango salsa and I had grouper with champagne shrimp sauce. Ours were just ok. I think the issue with mine might have been the fillet but since hers wasn't great either we'll go with preparation. Outside is good for kids - small kids might struggle a bit as it's definitely a place for sitting with friends and enjoying yourself. Could definitely be a date night kinda place. I've talked to friends in the area and everyone has told me it's hit or miss. Sometimes really good, sometimes just ok. One thing - when we made reservation, only inside table were available on the system. When we got there, several outside table were open - after waiting until 8:10 for our 8 pm reservation, I asked about it and they moved us to a outside table (to our benefit) - so be aware of that. Will try again. ”

He was hands down the best server we've ever had at oyster rock and definitely in the top 10 of best servers ever! Attentive, kind, funny, charming. What a great asset! ”
